I have raved about Chris Anderson's Long Tail blog before. He has an excellent summation on how the rise of modern media has fragmented the mass culture of America. How the rise of cable television and lately the internet has broken the homogenous culture into many separate little tribes huddled around their virtual office watercoolers... excellent piece.
