Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy review:
Long film review part 1
Douglas Adams' biographer MJ Simpson has put up a long (4 pages!) and scathing review of the forthcoming Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy movie from Disney and Buena Vista. They have apparently cut out most of the dialogue with its wit and humor; the bit with Prosser and Dent about the demolition plans got cut from 8 lines of wonderfully sidesplitting jokes to a two lines that make you just shrug. I am a huge fan of the Hitchhiker's Guide books, they are a touchstone for me in the way that the Monty Python and the Holy Grail movie is for other gamers. I will be very disappointed if this movie bombs and turns another generation of fans off to Adams' novel and other works.
